Why I will never buy another Tempur-Pedic Bed

This is my second Tempur-Pedic mattress and it will be my last.  I fell for the commercials - twice - and twice now the bed has not lived up to it's advertised standards.

The Facts:

• They start off like a cloud and you think, "Ah, this is IT! I have found Nirvana." then, in my case, just over one year later, the cloud becomes quicksand!
• They require a block and tackle to get out of: "Heave HO!"
• They DO sag in the middle. And lose their turgor.  Mine was great if I slept on a diagonal, or once I rolled over to the edge, but once in the middle, you just keep sinking with no way out.
• They STINK and not just for the "few months" the salesman will tell you - it still stinks over a year later! And folks, that stink just might be TOXIC.  One report said that those "off gasses" can interfere with your thyroid function!  
• They DON'T support your body.  My hips, legs, neck & shoulders would hurt so bad when I finally got out of that bed that I would walk like Ozzy Osborne - or "Mrs. Whiggins" for most of the morning. 

I bought my last Tempur-Pedic August 2015, I was D.O.N.E. with it December 2016.  This Goliath that is nearly impossible to move is temporarily replaced with the mattress I had on my guest bed - a cheap, old "extra-firm" mattress with a 3" foam pad over it, and a slightly quilted cotton mattress cover - while I wait for my new mattress to arrive.  And I will tell you what I noticed IMMEDIATELY after one night on my latest setup: NO HIP OR LEG PAIN!  NONE!  It's been a few nights now, and not once have I woken up with my hands and arms ASLEEP - totally dead.

I hope my new mattress is just as good as my setup now, or even better.  I'll let you know.
